Calen's story in tattooing started the right way — as a hands-on apprentice to the legendary Inia Taylor III at Moko Ink in Grey Lynn, Auckland. It was a formative time that gave him a deep respect for the traditions behind Polynesian and Māori design, and a foundation he still draws from every single day.
From there he went on to open Trinity Ink in Johnsonville, Wellington — his own studio where he spent years developing his freehand approach and building real relationships with his clients. Eventually the road led to Europe, and he's now based at Rock N' Roll Corazon in Luzern, Switzerland.
Everything Calen does is freehand — drawn directly onto the skin, no stencils, no shortcuts. Each piece is shaped around the person wearing it. If you're thinking about a Polynesian or Māori tattoo, come for a chat first. That's always where it starts.
All tattoo work is priced individually depending on size, placement, and complexity. Get in touch and we'll talk through your idea before any commitment.
